The Semantic Clause Graph Procedure
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this contribution we propose a variant of a resolution theorem prover which selects resolution steps based on the proportion of models a newly generated clause satisfies compared to all models given in a reference class, which is generated from a subset of the initial clause set. Since the empty clause does not satisfy any models preference is given to such clauses which satisfy few models only. In order to avoid premature convergence, model-guided steps are interleaved with random steps. Since computing the number of models is computationally expensive on the one hand, but will remain almost unchanged after the application of one single resolution step on the other hand, we adapt Kowalski’s connection graph method to store the number of models at each link. We report on work in progress and are not yet able to present experimental results.

Semantic Priming Effect on Relative Clause Attachment Ambiguity Resolution in L2
This study examined whether processing ambiguous sentences containing relative clauses (RCs) following a complex determiner phrase (DP) by Persian-speaking learners of L2 English with different proficiency and working memory capacities (WMCs) is affected by semantic priming. The semantic relationship studied was one between the subject/verb of the main clause and one of the DPs in the complex D...
متن کاملGenerating an Indoor space routing graph using semantic-geometric method
The development of indoor Location-Based Services faces various challenges that one of which is the method of generating indoor routing graph. Due to the weaknesses of purely geometric methods for generating indoor routing graphs, a semantic-geometric method is proposed to cover the existing gaps in combining the semantic and geometric methods in this study. The proposed method uses the CityGML...
متن کاملA procedure for Web Service Selection Using WS-Policy Semantic Matching
In general, Policy-based approaches play an important role in the management of web services, for instance, in the choice of semantic web service and quality of services (QoS) in particular. The present research work illustrates a procedure for the web service selection among functionality similar web services based on WS-Policy semantic matching. In this study, the procedure of WS-Policy publi...
متن کاملA General Clause Theorem Prover
Introduction The General Clause Theorem Prover (GCTP) was designed as a test bed for semantic search control strategies in theorem proving. It is the unique combination of the Graph Construction (GC) procedure of [Shostak 1976] (which is known to out-perform many (all?) linear format systems), embedding the axioms of equality by the use of the Resolution by Unification and Equality (RUE) and Ne...
متن کاملFrom Context-Free to Definite-Clause Grammars: A Type-Theoretic Approach
> We discuss the mechanical transformation of an unambiguous context-free grammar (CFG) into a deenite-clause grammar (DCG) using a nite set of examples, each of which is a pair hs; mi, where s is a sentence belonging to the language deened by the CFG and m is the semantic representation (meaning) of s. The resulting DCG would be such that it could be executed to compute the semantics for every...
